What the Scheme Covers
- Wireless intruder alarms (residential)
- CCTV system installation
- CCTV system upgrades (existing systems)
- Smart doorbells and app-controlled security
- Commercial intruder alarm systems
- Commercial CCTV systems
- Maintenance and servicing plan enrolment
- Takeover of existing third-party maintenance contracts
What the Scheme Does NOT Cover
- Properties outside North East England and North Yorkshire
- Properties with unresolved planning restrictions
- Short-term rental properties (under 6 months occupancy)
- Systems requiring specialist listed building consent (case by case)
- Products not supplied by the approved scheme provider
- Labour-only requests (installation of customer-supplied equipment)
Residential Eligibility
- Owner-occupiers and long-term tenants (with landlord consent)
- All home types — detached, semi, terraced, bungalow, flat
- New homeowners particularly encouraged
- Properties in North East or North Yorkshire postcodes
Business Eligibility
- Registered businesses with a fixed premises
- Pubs, cafes, salons, retail, offices, warehouses, independent shops
- Must be located in eligible postcode region
- No minimum or maximum turnover requirement
The Security Grant Scheme is a privately funded discretionary initiative. Contributions are subject to eligibility assessment and available monthly allocation. Approval is not guaranteed. The scheme is not affiliated with or funded by any government body, local authority, police service, or insurance provider. The scheme is administered by Wentworth Security & Fire Protection Ltd.
